G2 Gozen members discuss tournaments featuring male and female teams

Michaela "mimi" Lintrup and Anastasiya "Glance" Anisimova gave an interview to Flank ahead of the Red Bull Home Ground 4 - EMEA Qualifier. In this interview, they expressed their opinions on holding tournaments where both male and female teams participate.

You are the first female VALORANT team to participate in such a tournament. How important do you think this is for the professional scene as a whole?

I think it's a good step to move the competition forward. I hope we will get a good result and show that female teams deserve to compete.
Michaela "mimi" Lintrup
I hope there will be matches that will show us the direction we need to go. We will understand what we can improve, our strategies, our aim, to get closer to these teams.
Anastasiya "Glance" Anisimova

Both G2 Gozen members are positive about the holding of such events. It helps them not only advance competitiveness in the field in general but also improves their own game. Playing against some of the best clubs in Europe will help them identify their weaknesses and improve strategies to approach their level.

G2 Gozen became the first female squad to receive an invitation to participate in an event of this level. They will meet tier-1 teams competing in the highest league - VCT EMEA League, and they will have the opportunity to get into the Red Bull Home Ground 4.

Note that the Red Bull Home Ground 4 - EMEA Qualifier has already started and will end with the final on October 15, where the winner will get a slot in the main stage of Red Bull Home Ground 4, which will take place from November 3 to 5 in the capital of Japan - Tokyo.
