Sultan urges Riot Games to address issues with the Kazakhstani Valorant scene

Player Sultan, who represented India at the PACIFIC Ascension tournament as part of Revenant Esports, sparked a heated discussion online by posting a critique of the Kazakhstani Valorant scene on X.

In his statement, Sultan noted that it’s nearly impossible to join a professional team from Kazakhstan. He pointed out that the main issue is high ping, which makes it extremely difficult to play on European and Asian servers. For example, from Almaty, the ping to Frankfurt is 100-120 ms, to Stockholm 120 ms, and to Asian servers, it's even higher.

According to the player, there are no organizations in the region that can support local esports athletes. As a result, players are forced to move to other countries to compete in tournaments with lower ping, though not everyone can afford such relocations.

Sultan suggested two solutions: setting up servers in Central Asia so local players can participate in regional leagues or allowing Kazakhstan to compete in both EMEA and APAC, giving players more chances to break into the international scene.

It’s worth noting that the 24-year-old Sultan made his Valorant debut this season, finishing 7th-8th at Ascension with Revenant Esports. However, he delivered impressive individual performances, drawing attention with an ACS of 235.7 and a K/D of 1.19. Currently, he has announced he’s looking for a new team.

Sultan post received numerous responses, with users urging Riot Games to take action to resolve the issues affecting the Kazakhstani Valorant scene.
