The competitive season in VCT for the well-known Korean organization T1 has ended, meaning the team will be making changes to its Valorant roster. Following the departure of two players yesterday, it has now been announced that coach Dakota "Stunner" MacLeod is also leaving the team.
Stunner shared this decision on his official social media channels. The former coach wrote a lengthy farewell message, expressing his gratitude to the organization for their time together and the experience of working with various players.
My time with T1 has come to an end after nearly 4 years. I cherished every moment with this team and will hold on to all our shared memories. I had the opportunity to work with 27 different players, all of whom taught me something new during this journey. So, I want to say a big THANK YOU to each of you. I am now LFT (Looking For Team) for ALL regions as a head coach/coach for the 2025 season and am ready to start working with a new team immediately.
Dakota "Stunner" MacLeod is a 28-year-old Canadian coach who began his professional Valorant career in mid-2021. He spent most of his career from 2021 to 2024 with T1. Major achievements of the coach include 3rd place at VCT 2023: Pacific League, and participation in VALORANT Champions 2023, where his team placed 9-12th. Although the current competitive season started well for the team with 3rd place at VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 1, subsequent tournaments did not end as well, resulting in the team not qualifying for the current World Championship.
It is still unknown where Stunner plans to go in the future. However, teams currently competing in the VCT are fully formed, so it is unlikely he will join a club participating in the championship. We will keep an eye on the coach’s official social media to learn about his future career plans.
