The Valorant community continues to call on developers to change their approach to the map pool, which does not satisfy a large portion of the shooter's fans.
The issue with the map pool is one of the most widespread in the Valorant fan community, as it's hard to please all players at once. However, players are urging developers not to remove a map from the pool when releasing a new one, maintaining the number of maps at seven, and to keep the old ones to increase variety, which would spice up their gameplay.
The current map pool consists of seven maps, while there are ten fully-fledged maps in the game. Three of them were removed from the active rotation and sent for rework. The developers have not announced anything about their return or an expansion of the map pool.
Current Valorant Map Pool:
- Breeze
- Ascent
- Split
- Bind
- Sunset
- Lotus
- Icebox
We do not think that Riot Games will abandon its concept and vision in the near future, so radical changes should not be expected. However, maps Fracture and Pearl have been under rework for quite some time, so the return of one of them in future major updates is possible.
