Scandal with Royal Never Give Up - Former manager speaks out about treatment of Valorant players

An interesting story began circulating online about a former member of the Chinese organization Royal Never Give Up. An anonymous user on the Weibo platform revealed how the management refused to pay his salary and also about the poor treatment of the members of the Valorant roster.

The news portal VALO2ASIA highlighted this situation today. On the Chinese platform Weibo (an equivalent of Twitter), an anonymous user, who identified himself as a former Valorant manager for RNG, shared his experience with the organization. According to him, the organization owed him a significant amount of money. Initially, 18,000 yuan for salary, and later 100,000 yuan for unpaid collection fees. The manager has yet to receive any of these amounts.

Today, other managers contacted me, trying to dismiss me with a payment of 5,000 yuan. This money is what I rightfully earned from my regular work, and it's even less than what was initially emphasized and promised. They wanted to use it as hush money. Their approach to this issue is absolutely disgusting. To prevent more people from being cheated, I decided to expose them.

The anonymous manager also spoke about the situation with a former player of the Valorant national team. This refers to Shi "AakRR" Yekai and his brief period of cooperation with RNG. The player joined the team only for the second stage of the FGC Valorant Invitational 2023: Act 2, as agreed. However, the organization changed his contract, and as a result, after signing, the player had to stay with the team for more than two years.

AakRR said he was assured that the contract was only for the FGC tournament, so he didn't think much about it and didn't check it thoroughly. It turned out that he had to spend two years at the club, equivalent to contractual imprisonment.

As a result, AakRR moved to TYLOO, so it can be assumed that the latter simply bought out his contract, thereby freeing him from the contractual "prison".

So far, the Royal Never Give Up organization has not responded to such exposure. But it can be assumed that if the scandal gains widespread attention, Riot Games may impose sanctions and fines on the Chinese organization. We will follow the developments.
