Rumors: Zyppan may move to Gentle Mates

Journalist Alejandro Gomis reported a high likelihood that Zyppan, formerly of Natus Vincere, will join the French esports team Gentle Mates.

Transfer after offers from European teams

According to Gomis, Zyppan received offers from three teams in the European league, but he chose to move to Gentle Mates. In the new team, Zyppan will take on the flex player role, replacing nataNk.

Career beginnings in Fortnite and transition to VALORANT

Currently 22 years old, Zyppan began his esports career in 2018 when he entered the Fortnite scene. He played for Raised by Kings and Epsilon eSports, earning over $58,000 in two years. In 2020, he announced his transition to VALORANT.

After moving to VALORANT, Zyppan played for NiP and FunPlus Phoenix. Between 2020 and 2022, he achieved significant success, including a victory at VCT 2022 Masters Copenhagen and a 4th place finish at VALORANT Champions 2022. In November 2022, he announced his transfer to Natus Vincere, which had already been accepted into the European league.

In the international league, Zyppan started with a 4th place finish at VCT 2023 LOCK//IN, then secured 4th place at VCT EMEA 2023 and performed well at VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo and VALORANT Champions 2023. However, in this season, despite finishing 4th at VCT EMEA 2024 KICK-OFF, he failed to achieve high results in Stage 1 and Stage 2, missing out on international tournaments.

Expectations for the new Gentle Mates lineup

If Zyppan joins Gentle Mates, the team's roster will include RobbieBk and Goked, as Gentle Mates, which has consistently performed with French players since winning the Ascension tournament in 2023, prepares for international achievements in the upcoming season. Further announcements about the team are expected.
