MONSTEERR, who began his professional VALORANT career back in 2020 with the game's release, may now get his first shot at the Valorant Champions Tour. In 2024, he announced a retirement from professional play due to the decline of the tier-2 VALORANT scene. However, he is now on the verge of joining the most prestigious league in Europe. He will join the MKOI main roster after five months with the academy team MKOI Fenix, where he won VALORANT Challengers 2025 Spain: Rising Stage 2 and placed 3–4th in Stage 1.
Current MKOI VALORANT roster
As a reminder, following the conclusion of EMEA Stage 1, media outlets began circulating reports about potential major changes to MKOI’s roster. We covered this in a separate article, where we mentioned two players who might leave the team and suggested that MONSTEERR could be the one to take their place.
MKOI has struggled in both tournaments they attended in 2025. Most recently, at VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1, the team failed to advance from the group stage, finishing in 9–10th place. Their next event will be the qualifier for EWC 2025, followed by EMEA Stage 2 in July — a decisive tournament for their shot at Champions 2025.
