Riot Games changed its opinion regarding the future of The Guard

All players, including the coach, are no longer part of The Guard organization, and Riot Games has changed its mind and given the players the opportunity to find a new organization to participate in the VCT Americas League.

The Guard's roster was as follows

  • Trent "trent" Cairns
  • Jonah "JonahP" Pulice
  • Michael "neT" Bernet
  • Ian "tex" Botsch
  • Jacob "valyn" Batio
  • Josh "JoshRT" Lee (head coach)

A few days ago, Riot Games announced that The Guard would not participate in the VCT Americas League because the organization did not meet the requirements necessary for partner team status. Therefore, they were excluded from the league and informed that no other team could replace them in the top league, and the list of teams would remain as it was last year. More detailed information about this situation can be found in this article.
