Rumors: FURIA has strengthened their Valorant team with a new coach

The organization FURIA has signed a new coach for their squad for the upcoming VCT Americas League season, bringing on board a former professional player. This information was shared by the Brazilian portal theenemy, but there has not been an official announcement yet.

According to the portal, the current coach of FURIA will be assisted by former professional player Lucas "lukzera" Soares, who played for TBK Esports in the last season. During his professional career in Valorant, he won more than $6,000 in prize money but decided to end his playing career and try his hand at coaching.

Lucas "lukzera" Soares announced the end of his playing career after the 2023 season and expressed a desire to become a coach, open to considering any offers. On October 30, he tweeted a gif about signing a contract, so an official announcement of his joining the team can be expected in the near future.

Previously, the founder of the organization Jaime Padua in an interview for the portal theenemy stated that their plans include strengthening the coaching staff to four people. Thus, Lucas "lukzera" Soares could be the first to join the club.
