In his official social media posts today, Tanmay shared several announcements, the latest of which was about Gen.G. According to the journalist, the organization plans to end its collaboration with main roster player Jung "Foxy9" Jae-sung, who joined the team only a few months ago.

Following their roster adjustments, Gen.G Esports participated in several offseason events. They finished second at the SOOP VALORANT League 2024, won the TEN VALORANT Asia Invitational 2024, and placed 5th-6th at the VALORANT Radiant Asia Invitational. After that, the team competed in the VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff qualifiers, securing third place. While this result is commendable, only the top two teams received direct invitations to Masters Bangkok 2025, meaning Gen.G missed out on the first international tournament of the year.
