Riot Games wants women to compete in Masters and Champions

VALORANT Esports representative Leo Faria shared his vision of the Game Changers scene during a press conference ahead of the Masters Madrid finals. He addressed questions from journalists at the VALORANT Zone portal, assessing the potential for investment in the women's segment of the game.

Faria noted that they are proud of the Game Changers initiative. He explained that the goal of this program is to create a platform where women can showcase their skills and compete on equal terms with men. He also emphasized that Riot Games aims for women to have the opportunity to participate in major tournaments, including those within the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).

Our goal is not just to expand the scope of Game Changers, but to provide women with the opportunity to compete in major tournaments, such as Masters or Champions.
Leo Faria

In response to a question about the possibility of introducing mandatory requirements for VCT teams to invest in Game Changers, Leo Faria noted that Riot Games is considering various incentives to support team participation in this program. He emphasized that the main goal remains to create conditions for the development of the women's segment in esports, while avoiding the introduction of coercive measures.
