Just days before the start of the first international LAN tournament of 2024 - VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, Riot Games disclosed the format for the next two tournaments in the European region.
Eleven teams were divided into two groups based on their previous results, with the format for VCT EMEA 2024: Stage 1 differing from Stage 2. The groups are as follows:
Alpha Group:
Omega Group:
The main difference between the formats of Stage 1 and Stage 2 is that in the first stage, teams from one group will play against teams from the other group, while in the following stage, teams within each group will compete against each other. Teams will fight for EMEA Points, which are awarded to the strongest teams and are necessary for qualification to this year's world championship, with only the top four European teams making it.
