At the Summer Game Fest, Riot Games announced the beta testing of the console version of Valorant. During the announcement, several screenshots were shown, featuring a new map not yet released in the game.

The new map, tentatively named Abyss, is set to be officially unveiled before the grand final of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai. The presentation will take place during a show match between a Chinese team and an international team. It is customary for Riot Games to introduce new content at international tournaments. At the previous tournament, they introduced a new agent, Clove, and this time it is the new map Abyss. The first screenshots have already been officially showcased at Summer Game Fest, and can be viewed below.
