The competitive season of VCT 2023 has officially ended, but the developers of Valorant are already actively preparing for the upcoming year. Today, information regarding the first major regional tournaments and the first Masters event has emerged online.
It's worth remembering that the first major Masters series tournament in 2024 will take place in the capital of Spain - Madrid. This was known more than four months ago when Riot Games announced the tournament in an official video. Read more about it in our material. Today, the organizers also shared information about when the qualifying stages in each of the four regions will start and the format of their conduct.
VCT 2024: Masters Madrid will be held from March 8 to March 24 in a LAN format at the Madrid Arena location. As Riot Games reports, the group stage of the tournament will be in the Swiss-system format, which is quite interesting considering that last year's tournaments did not use the "Swiss system". Eight teams that pass regional qualifiers in their regions will participate in the Madrid tournament. The two best teams from each region will receive the coveted tickets to the event, with qualifications starting in February.

- VCT 2024: EMEA League - February 20
- VCT 2023: China League - February 22
It is still unknown what the prize pool will be for the upcoming event, but considering last year, it can be assumed that now the cash prize for each Masters tournament will be $1,000,000. Also interesting is that this is the first tournament in which the newly created Chinese region will fully participate, making it very interesting to follow.
