Riot Games plans to adapt the LEC Studio arena in Berlin for Valorant tournaments

Today, representatives of Riot Games announced important news for all European fans on their official social media channels. The company intends to renovate its renowned facility called the LEC Studio for Valorant and Teamfight Tactics tournaments.

The LEC Studio is one of the most famous esports facilities in Europe, located in the capital of Germany, Berlin. It typically hosts European League of Legends championships and other high-profile tournaments in the EMEA region.

Following the announcement, it was revealed that Riot Games developers plan to completely overhaul the LEC Studio and turn it into the epicenter of esports events in Europe. In the future, the facility will not only host League of Legends tournaments but also various prominent Valorant events. These include the VCT EMEA, Ascension series tournaments, and the Game Changers women's league. Additionally, Teamfight Tactics competitions will take place at the new arena.

Riot Games intends to introduce a new "innovative infrastructure design" system for efficient branding and league switching. Specifically, the gaming setups on the stage may be configured for players to face each other or face the audience. Currently, it is unknown when all the changes will be implemented, as well as when the company plans to complete the reconstruction of the LEC Studio. However, considering their ambitious plans, it is unlikely that the arena will be ready by 2024.
