On April 26, DRX and T1 will play their first playoff match at VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1. The winner will move one step closer to a slot at Masters Toronto 2025 by advancing to the second round, where they will face Rex Regum Qeon, while the losing team will drop to the lower bracket of the tournament.

DRX

DRX started the season strong, winning VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff without a single loss, thereby deservedly securing a slot at Masters Bangkok 2025. Things went worse there—the team was eliminated in 5th-6th place, losing specifically to T1, whom they had previously defeated twice in the regional tournament. Out of their last five matches, DRX has won four, with the only loss coming from BOOM Esports.

After major reinforcements ahead of the season—freeing, HYUNMIN, and BeYN—the team significantly improved its performance. A recent transfer, Estrella, who replaced flashback, reflects DRX’s aim to further strengthen the depth of the roster.

T1

T1 started the year with a second-place finish at VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff, but the real breakthrough happened at Masters Bangkok 2025. There, the team became champions, defeating DRX and G2 Esports. It was T1’s first international victory and the most significant success in the lineup’s history. Three of their last five matches were wins. Losses to Rex Regum Qeon and TALON came as surprises, considering T1’s status after Masters.

Despite the recent dip in results, the team made no roster changes ahead of Stage 1, maintaining trust in their current lineup.
