Riot Games is once again facing criticism for inadequate support of the Game Changers scene

An experienced member of the Disguised GC team and active streamer, Tupperware, expressed dissatisfaction with Riot Games' lack of promotion for the open qualifications of the VCT 2024 Game Changers NA Series 1.

In her post, she emphasized the absence of information on Riot Games' channel regarding the current qualifying stages of the tournament. Despite participating in open qualifications in the previous season, she claims she "didn't even know the GC qualifying games were happening".

Tupperware noted that the only post related to the tournament on the official VCT NA page was an announcement that RadiantGG would handle the competition and the schedule was published. The athlete expressed surprise that Riot Games pays minimal attention to advertising, while the tournament operator RadiantGG actively shares information about open qualifications. She mentioned that promotional efforts from Riot Games were virtually nonexistent.

This is not the first instance of criticism from the community. Last year, meL from Shopify Rebellion also highlighted the "insufficient tournament promotion this year", pointing out the lack of advertising from Riot Games. The community has also expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Game Changers scene and the overall VCT schedule.
