Riot Games is exploring opportunities for collaboration with Saudi Arabia

Daniel Ringland, the head of Valorant in the EMEA region, discussed the prospect of Riot Games working with the Saudi Arabian government. Recently, Valorant was not included in the "Esports World Cup" due to scheduling conflicts.

In an interview with Esports.net, Ringland mentioned that Riot Games is open to considering all collaboration opportunities. He noted that Riot has learned a lot from this experience. Currently, they are not working on similar projects, but Riot has a fair process and experienced specialists who assess all opportunities based on business and audience interests.

Additionally, Ringland answered questions about the possibility of hosting Valorant events in Saudi Arabia in the near future and the consideration of an invitation to host the VCT EMEA finals as part of the Esports World Cup next year. He confirmed that there are currently no such plans.

We plan a few years ahead and are not currently addressing this matter. We are focused on serving viewers from the MENA region, which is why we have a Challengers league in that region. But for now, there are no plans for events of this kind.
