Interestingly, although the organizers did not officially state, the prize fund of the upcoming tournament appeared on the liquipedia site. According to the portal, it amounts to $500,000, equivalent to last year's championship. This seems somewhat strange considering the growth in the game's popularity and Riot's tendency to increase prizes. For example, last year's men's world championship had a prize of $1,000,000, and this year, the cash prize rose to $2,250,000.
