The long-awaited eighth episode of Valorant is set to release in just one day, and the community is eagerly anticipating this date. Ahead of the new season, Riot Games released a cinematic dedicated to the upcoming episode, which has been received favorably by fans, as one of the best Valorant cinematics of all time.
In the six-minute video, the main focus is on the agent Omen, and this is not surprising. The character has long been featured in many splash screens, in-game character cards, and short videos from the developers. Therefore, the community immediately speculated that we would see more details about Omen in the future, and they were right. The cinematic begins with Iso and Cypher attacking unknown bandits to find out the location of their boss, after which Sova and Omen himself attack their main base in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
Further along in the story, Omen meets with the main boss, who lures him into a trap. Here, a significant part of the agent's past is revealed. From the flashbacks, it is clear that Omen is directly connected to Viper and worked with her in the past for the same boss they are now fighting against. After this, Sova rescues the agent, and all four agents head back.
Under the comments to the cinematic, Valorant fans express their admiration. Most of them believe that the video is one of the best in the history of the game, and the events in it thoroughly reveal the lore of the game, not forgetting about dynamic shootouts.
