On May 29th, Riot Games published notes for the upcoming 8.10 patch for Valorant. As many insiders predicted, rumors about fixes to ability usage bugs for Cypher and Clove have been confirmed.
Progress Changes
"Basic Training" Event
- The initial contract will be updated for all newcomers. As a result of the update, the structure has become clearer for new players, with tasks and stages clearly outlined. So, you'll have an excellent school before moving on to conquering the ranked mode.
- The "Basic Training" event will be similar to other events in many ways: you can track your own progress, set goals at each stage, and achieve them, earning rewards, which is crucial at the beginning of your journey in Valorant.
- If you've already completed the initial contract before, you won't see the "Basic Training" event (but don't worry, you already have all the rewards from there).
- If you've only partially completed the initial contract, the rewards you've already received will be displayed on the "Basic Training" event screen, and you can complete what you've started, earning experience that will count towards the battle pass.
Bug Fixes
Agents
- Fixed a bug where shots made by Cypher immediately after exiting the "Camera" mode (E) coincided in time with the weapon raise animation and did not deal damage. The weapon raise animation is now displayed in full.
- Fixed bugs causing the timer for Clove's "Empower" (C) ability to restart, allowing Clove to have more time to activate the ability than necessary.
