Riot Games has announced about balance and restrictions on using mouse and keyboard in console versions of Valorant

Beta testing for the console version of Valorant will start on June 15th. Developers have shared their plans regarding gameplay and balancing for both PC and console platforms.

During a public appearance, Max Grossman, the design director of Valorant, stated that Valorant's development is progressing simultaneously for PC and consoles, and new content will be released simultaneously on both platforms.

When asked about the possibility of using a mouse and keyboard on consoles, Max responded: "Is this cheating? This cannot be done. Using a mouse and keyboard on consoles will result in a ban". Thus, it is confirmed that using a mouse and keyboard is prohibited in the console version of Valorant.

In response to the question of what will happen if agents, balanced for PC, turn out to be too strong on consoles, Max stated:

We will react individually if any agent is too strong on a specific platform. We have different game balances, so we will actively update and quickly respond to player feedback and balance issues.

Registration for participation in the limited beta test of the console version of Valorant has been open since June 8th on the official Riot Games website. Winners will be sent a special invitation link to invite up to 5 friends, and all beta test participants will receive exclusive in-game cards.
