Riot Games explained why Fade's abilities do not have sound effects

Riot Games explained why Fade's Seize (Q) ability will not receive a hit notification, as is the case with Skye, Gekko, or Vyse. According to the team, this decision will help maintain tension and strategic uncertainty at crucial moments in matches.

The developers noted that adding a visual or audio hit notification would significantly diminish one of the key elements that makes using Seize exciting. Unlike other initiators whose abilities immediately confirm the result, Fade's skill set is designed to encourage players to take risks and personally verify whether the ability has worked.

We don't add hit notifications to Seize (Q) in order to maintain tension, uncertainty, and moments when the player needs to take a risk and check Seize — it's an important part of the gameplay.

This approach, according to Riot Games, forces players to act under pressure and make quick decisions. In tense situations, the lack of guaranteed confirmation adds psychological depth, making Seize both a tool of control and a risk that can change the course of a round.
