The appearance of new bugs in Valorant typically happens after the release of another patch, and this time is no exception. Following the recent 9.05 update, agent Phoenix encountered a bug related to his abilities, but the developers have already announced that they are working on a fix.
What's the issue?
Yesterday, Valorant released a new 9.05 patch. It introduced various changes to agents, fixed some bugs, and altered textures on different maps. You can read more about the update in our article. Although the agent changes didn't affect Phoenix directly, after the patch was released, he experienced a significant nerf. Now, his ability Hot Hands heals the agent for only 25HP instead of the previous 50HP. While this might look like a typical nerf at first glance, it was not mentioned in the patch notes, leading players to believe it was a bug. This assumption turned out to be true.
Riot Games' Response
Shortly after the news spread online, Coleman Palm, the head of the Valorant team responsible for balancing agents, maps, weapons, and much more, responded to the bug. He stated on his official social media that his team is aware of the issue and is already working on a solution for both PC and console versions of the game.
Hey all - there's a Phoenix bug on live that's causing him to heal less from his signature ability than intended.

We're actively investigating a fix to this issue for both PC and Console platforms. Thanks for all the reports, we'll send an update once the fix is shipped to live!
Unfortunately, the Riot representative did not specify when the bug would be fixed, but it will likely happen between the regular patch cycles. Waiting several weeks for such an important bug to be fixed would take too long. Stay tuned to our portal to find out when the Phoenix bug is fixed.
