Chamber in VALORANT might receive further buffs after patch 9.05

Yesterday’s 9.05 patch for Valorant buffed Chamber — the teleportation range of his "Rendezvous" ability was increased from 13 to 18 meters. The game’s developers also mentioned that Chamber could receive additional improvements in the future if the current changes don’t significantly impact the meta.

In 2022, Chamber was one of the most dominant agents in the competitive scene, thanks to his powerful abilities. However, a series of nerfs, such as reducing the number of "Rendezvous" anchors and increasing the cost of his abilities, led to a noticeable decline in his popularity in 2023-2024.

Dan Hardison, one of Valorant's developers, stated on Reddit that if the current changes don’t affect ranked and competitive play, further buffs to Chamber are possible. He also mentioned that the team already has several ideas for improving the agent, but they are acting cautiously to avoid repeating his former dominance.

Additionally, the same patch brought changes to Astra — the number of her stars increased from 4 to 5, sparking discussions among players about the possible return of the 2022 meta. Social media is abuzz with talks about upcoming agent composition changes in off-season tournaments.

Now, the community’s attention is focused on the upcoming tournaments scheduled from September to December. Many fans are hopeful that the buff to Chamber will bring him back to the competitive scene, and players like yay will once again be able to show strong performances.
