Riot Games announces VALORANT Challengers 2025 schedule and team rosters

On October 25, Riot Games released the schedule for the 2025 VALORANT Challengers league and confirmed the participation of partner teams’ academy rosters.

Main Schedule for VALORANT Challengers 2025

The league season is divided into three main splits, with qualification and relegation matches following each stage. Exact dates and the tournament format will be announced later, but the preliminary schedule is as follows:

  • January – February: Split 1
  • March: Qualification and relegation matches after Split 1
  • April – early June: Split 2
  • June (second half): Qualification and relegation matches after Split 2
  • July – August: Split 3
  • October: Ascension Tournament
  • November – December: Split 4 (tentative)
 
 

Academy rosters and team participation

Each regional championship will feature Sin Prisa Gaming and BOOM Esports, who earned spots through the Ascension tournament, as well as nine academy teams, excluding the tournament partner Paper Rex.

Academy teams will participate in all three splits and compete against qualified opponents and teams promoted from Premier. These teams are exempt from season qualification matches, but the winners of the academy league will not be eligible to advance to the Ascension tournament.
