This weekend, some details about the upcoming patch in Valorant were published online. It became known about minor changes that will affect several agents, weapons, the premier mode, and bug fixes.

Patch Notes Valorant 7.09 PBE: Detailed overview of changes

Agent updates

Cypher

  • Reduced the time it takes for a trapped enemy to be concussed from 3 > 1.5 seconds.
  • After an enemy has been concussed or an enemy in the trap has been killed, the Trapwire no longer destroys itself, instead reloading after 0.5 seconds, allowing it to trap an enemy again.
  • The duration of slowing when caught in the trap has been increased from 0.75 to 2 seconds.

Skye

  • Changes will affect all summon-based character abilities. Summoned creatures will be able to pass under traps placed at medium height. This will not affect weapon hitboxes.

Fade

  • The changes will affect the ability Prowler (C). The summoned creature can pass under traps placed at medium height. It will not affect weapon hitboxes.

Raze

The explosive agent Raze is set to receive several substantial nerfs in the upcoming patch, which will significantly impact her pick rate in the professional scene.

  • Paint Shells (E) Blast radius of the primary grenade 6m > 5.5m.
  • Blast radius of secondary grenades 6m > 5.25m.
  • Minimum damage of primary grenade upon explosion 15 >1.
  • Minimum damage of secondary grenades upon explosion 15 >1.
  • Enemy ult damage multiplier 250% > 100%.
  • Blast Pack (Q) Satchel does not deal damage until fully charged. Satchel charging time increased from 0.5 seconds to 1.5.

Judge

Unfortunately, some nerfs have also affected fans of the Judge.

  • Reduced maximum magazine size from 7 > 5.
  • Increased jump inaccuracy from 1.25 > 2.25.
  • Increased running inaccuracy from 10 > 75.

Premier Mode Update will receive significant changes

Lowering the qualification threshold for playoffs, changes in timeouts, and much more. Read more below:

  • Specific periods will be designated for queuing in Premier mode on selected days without matches. 
  • These matches will follow the Premier structure but won't affect your Premier Score.
  • Created teams can now recruit members and participate in Premier at any time during the stage.
  • Each team will receive one timeout on each side and an additional timeout in overtime.
  • Premier emblems will now reflect your team's results and change throughout the stage.
  • The qualification threshold for playoffs is reduced to 600 points.
  • Minor adjustments in the matchmaking system to enhance game quality.

Bug Fixes

Players occasionally experienced a sound issue that developers finally fixed.

  • Fixed an issue where disconnecting from a rope created footstep sounds.

All of these updates can be tested until October 30 on Valorant PBE.
