Pr0xy leaves Maru Gaming roster after just four months of collaboration

As of early May 2024, the Korean organization Maru Gaming has lost its second Valorant player. The latest departure is the 22-year-old professional player Lee "pr0xy" Do-gyoung, who announced his exit on his official social media channels.

In his Twitter account, Lee stated that he is now seeking a new team, is proficient in English and Japanese, and is versatile in-game, capable of playing multiple roles. Interestingly, the Korean organization has not officially commented on the player’s exit, leaving the reasons for the end of their collaboration unknown.

Lee "pr0xy" Do-gyoung joined the team in December 2023, when the organization unveiled its revamped Valorant roster. Over the four months, the esports athlete participated in the off-season event GAME PT Series - Season 1, where he secured second place, but official Riot tournaments were less successful. In the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Korea: Split 1, pr0xy and his team placed 7th, missing out on a direct entry to the second stage. Subsequently, the team finished 3rd-4th in the Advance Stage qualifiers, which ultimately closed the door to the second stage for them.

It is currently unknown if Lee has received offers from any teams, but with ample time before the second split of the Challengers league in other regions, the Korean professional might still find a new home.
