Riot Games has announced the creation of a separate VCT Game Changers league for South Asia, which will directly participate in the new Pacific Game Changers event next year.

In the Game Changers 2023 season, the non-existent team Global Esports Phoenix secured the highest positions among representatives from South Asia. Meanwhile, Orangutan, an Indian team, mainly consists of Filipinos. After the season ended, both organizations temporarily left the tournament.

The news was announced by Sukamal Pegu, the General Manager of Riot Games in South Asia, during the Convergence 2023 event in Bangalore, India.
