Pl1xx officially departs from Wolves Esports

The Chinese team Wolves Esports, which announced its revamped Valorant roster earlier this year, has not had a successful season, prompting the team to initiate a series of changes. One of these changes was recently revealed, as Christopher "pl1xx" Li, who had been inactive for some time, officially left the team yesterday.

The first changes in the Wolves Esports roster began in late May this year. At that time, one of the coaches left the team and was replaced by two new ones. Following this, in July, it was reported that pl1xx was moving to the inactive roster and was preparing to leave the team. Interestingly, as of today, the information about his move to the bench has been removed, suggesting that the parties might have decided to reverse this decision at some point. However, despite this, it was officially confirmed yesterday that the collaboration has indeed ended, and pl1xx has officially left Wolves Esports, as he announced on his social media.

Pl1xx's performance with Wolves Esports

Christopher "pl1xx" Li, like most of the team members, joined the roster at the beginning of 2024 when it was announced that the team had joined the VCT partnership program in the China region. After the roster was fully assembled, the club began its journey, which largely proved to be unsuccessful. Wolves Esports finished 7th-9th at VCT 2024: China Kickoff, 9th-10th at VCT 2024: China Stage 1, and 9th at the second stage of VCT 2024: China Stage 2. Due to these results, the team missed all international tournaments in 2024, including the current World Championship.

It is likely that performance was the main reason for the end of the collaboration between pl1xx and the team, leading to the assumption that this may not be the last change, and more players might leave the organization in the future. Notably, the Valorant roster still includes a total of 8 players.
