Global Esports moves entire Valorant roster to inactive

The Indian organization Global Esports has been making waves in the Valorant community over the past few days due to its decisions regarding the main roster. Initially, the team representatives announced an open call for players among all interested individuals, and today it was revealed that the management is moving the entire main roster to inactive status.

Search for young talent

A few days ago, Global Esports representatives announced the recruitment of new players on their official social media channels. This news came as quite a surprise because the club management allowed anyone, even regular players who had never competed on the professional stage before, to try out for the team. You can read more about this in our article. Although the organization did not specify the exact number of players they are looking for, fans assumed that there would be only one or two changes, while the core of the team would remain stable. However, unexpectedly yesterday, it became known that Global Esports might part ways with their entire Valorant roster.

Transition to inactive status

In an unexpected announcement yesterday on his official social media, co-founder and CEO Dr. Rushindra Sinha stated that while the search for new players and the trial of the coaching staff is ongoing, the entire main roster of Global Esports will be moved to inactive status.

We have allowed our players limited F/A while we continue our search and test the coaching staff. Our players will also go through our internal trials, but in the meantime, they are allowed to explore options, so we are not limiting their opportunities.

Current Global Esports roster

This decision was likely made due to the team's performance in the current season. In 2024, the team missed two Masters series tournaments in Madrid and Shanghai, and also did not qualify for the ongoing World Championship.
