Pancc announces return to CS2 after leaving Valorant: “There’s no investment in Valorant”

On October 26, player pancc, known for his performances with teams Union and Hero Base, announced his departure from the competitive VALORANT scene on his X (formerly Twitter) page. Pancc, a three-time champion of the Brazilian Challenger and third-place finisher at last year's Ascension tournament, decided to return to CS2, citing a lack of investment in Valorant and uncertainty in the competitive environment.

In his message, pancc stated:

The reason for my return to CS2 is simple: there’s a high salary and many tournaments. There’s no investment in VALORANT, and it’s not profitable to pursue. I have experience winning several tournaments, and I feel motivated to come back. Next week, I will participate in two tournaments. See you again on the servers.

At 26 years old, pancc began his career in the competitive CS scene in 2017, playing for teams W7M Gaming, Sharks Esports, and Leviatán. In 2021, he participated in the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and other international tournaments, including DreamHack Open Rio 2019.

In 2022, pancc transitioned to Valorant and joined The Union, with whom he achieved back-to-back victories in VCB 2023 Split 1 and Split 2. He started confidently at the Ascension tournament, defeating M80, but faced the same team again in the playoffs and lost, finishing in third place. This year, he signed with Hero Base, winning VCB 2024 Split 1, but the team placed 8th in Split 2 and failed to qualify for the Ascension tournaments.
