Ovation eSports will head to the VALORANT Challengers 2024 DACH: Evolution Split 1 with a new coach

Swiss team Ovation eSports has announced an addition to their coaching staff. Following the recent departure of Paul "SilvoxX" Völzke as head coach, the decision was made to sign Mathias "matti" Nielsen in his place.

Paul "SilvoxX" Völzke has been a part of Ovation eSports since its inception, but the club decided to part ways with their old friend and make changes to the coaching staff. Despite the inexperience of the young coach matti, the decision was made to appoint him as head coach. Whether this will pay off for the team, we will soon find out.

Former professional player Mathias "matti" Nielsen first tried himself as a coach in early 2023 with Les Petits Bouffons. It's hard to say if his efforts contributed to the team's development, but together with the team, they managed to secure 3rd place in the VALORANT Challengers 2023 Northern Europe: Polaris Split 2. As a novice coach, Nielsen has a decent albeit short history of victories.

In just four days, we will see the contribution of Ovation eSports new coach at the VALORANT Challengers 2024 DACH: Evolution Split 1 tournament, where 10 teams will compete for the right to advance to the second split.
