Outlaw: Valorant's new rifle continues to spark controversy in the community

At the beginning of this year, the Outlaw rifle was introduced as part of the 8.0 update in the game Valorant, and since then, it has become the subject of ongoing discussions in the gaming community. Brazilian commentator Guilherme “spacca” Spacca conducted an analysis of the weapon's usage in competitive settings. As a result of the analysis, he concluded that the Outlaw does not disrupt the game balance, and this opinion is supported by the majority of the community members.

Spacca noted that some are too quick to draw conclusions about the broken nature of the Outlaw, adding that even those who undergo training claim that the "rifle is broken". He urges people to remain calm and suggests looking at Jett, who was initially considered a weak agent, but those opinions turned out to be wrong.

In response, Tonello proposed an idea of how the new rifle should perform in the competitive arena.

In my opinion, when Outlaw was introduced, many assumed it would break, envisioning Jett with this weapon. Unlike Jett, who can take the Operator position, she cannot do that with this weapon. I think the rifle will be used more often by duelists or controllers, individual players on the spike site, oriented towards kills. But, perhaps, I am mistaken.

After the official launch of Outlaw in early January, player, coach, and fan opinions have been divided. While most community members characterized the new rifle as "broken", representatives of the competitive scene claim that it is entirely "good" and suitable in certain situations.
