Phillip Kovalev joined NRG in 2021. He worked as the head chef for the Valorant and League of Legends divisions, preparing delicious and healthy meals for the players. Additionally, he shared his culinary achievements on social media, amassing 100,000 followers on TikTok and 9,000 followers on X, which brought him significant popularity.

The announcement was met with responses from NRG team members such as s0m, FNS, crashies, and Chet, who expressed their gratitude. Valorant player Ethan noted:
