Recently, data miners found mentions of a previously unknown character named GIRAFFE in the game files. This was reported by the well-known insider Mike Valorant Leaks on his Twitter account.

Who is GIRAFFE?

Unfortunately, so far there is very little information about the new agent, there is only a screenshot where GIRAFFE is mentioned in the game files.

Moreover, it is not yet certain whether this is really a new agent. The game community suggests that GIRAFFE might be a scrapped character that was planned as an agent. Perhaps the developers from Riot Games worked on it as a new agent but ultimately decided not to add it to the game, and left mentions of it in the files to stir up the fans' interest. If GIRAFFE does become a game agent, it's not guaranteed that he will be the next one to be released. Judging by the scarcity of information about GIRAFFE, it is still in the early stages of development and will not appear as the 23rd agent, but much later.

GIRAFFE's game sound

Data miners from another account, VALORANTLeaksEN, have leaked a video online where you can hear the in-game sounds that the potential new agent GIRAFFE makes.

The video clip most likely records the sound of GIRAFFE's running. From the clip, we can assume that the character will be a robot/android, will have mechanical leg prosthetics, or a special combat suit/exoskeleton, etc. The game community jokes that the new agent will be a female version of KAY/O, or even his love interest. Remember that the last agent released in Valorant was Deadlock, who was added in patch 7.0. Riot Games has a world championship ahead, with a lot of work related to it, and considering how little information there is about the possible agent GIRAFFE, it's likely that we will not see a new character at Valorant Champions 2023.
