The developers of Valorant shared detailed information about the upcoming 9.11 update, which will appear in the game very soon. The main changes can be found by reading this material.
Balance
Riot Games has finally tackled the balance of the agent Neon, who annoyed many players in ranked mode due to the High Gear (E) ability combined with the Overdrive (X) ultimate. This allowed the character to move at high speed, making it difficult to aim at her, while Neon herself easily eliminated opponents. With patch 9.11, everything will change. Here are the changes for the agent Neon:
- The number of charges for High Gear (E) has been reduced to 1.
- Accuracy during High Gear will now be similar to accuracy while walking crouched.
- The duration of the ultimate ability has been reduced to 10 seconds (instead of 20).
- The ultimate cost has been increased to 8 points.

Other changes
In addition to Neon, the developers have revamped the ping system, which players abused during the game by marking the location of the Spike on the map. This allowed them to shoot through smoke or use abilities based on the markers. In patch 9.11, this will be fixed with the following changes:
- Markers placed on the map interface will no longer be displayed in the world.
- Smokes will now block markers, just like walls.
- Marker sounds have been updated.
- An option has been added to revert to old markers during custom matches with cheats.
- The Razorvine (C) ability for Vyse has been improved.
