Developers commented on the bug with weekly mission in Valorant

After the start of the new week, the Valorant community was outraged by one of the missions, where players were required to play 100 matches in a week to receive a reward. The developers commented on this and explained that it was a bug.

On December 5, the weekly missions were updated, and every player who completed all the previous ones received three new missions with increased rewards. One of them was "Play 100 matches," and players were given one week to complete it. The community was outraged by this, but after the reaction, the developers acknowledged it and stated that it was a bug.

Preeti, the product manager for cosmetic content, posted on her social media page on X that the requirement for 100 matches was incorrect. In the next patch, 9.11, this will be fixed and reverted to 10 matches. Match progress after the update will not be reset, but those who have already played 10+ matches before the update will need to play one more match to have the task count.

There's a bug with the Play A Match weekly requiring 100 matches instead of 10 matches like usual. We’re fixing with Patch 9.11. Your current progress will be unaffected, but if you’ve already played 10+ matches, you’ll need to play 1 more to get credit after the patch is live.

The 9.11 patch for Valorant will most likely be released on December 10-11. In addition to fixing this bug, it is expected to include a nerf for agent Neon, a buff for Deadlock and Harbor, and fixes for other in-game bugs.
