NAVI bids farewell to the head coach of the Valorant team — LATEKS

The Ukrainian esports organization NAVI has officially announced the departure of head coach of the Valorant roster, Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander. According to unconfirmed reports, the club already has a candidate for his replacement.

A Long Journey

Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander joined NAVI in 2022 as an assistant coach and worked in this role until May 2024. After the club parted ways with head coach Erik "Erik" Sandgren, LATEKS stepped into his position. However, he didn't have time to fully realize his potential, as the team only played one tournament under his leadership — the VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2, where they finished in 5th-6th place. Farewell words from the coach:

Even though the last split was a complete shitshow, I’m forever grateful of my time spent in NAVI and the guy and gals I got to know and learn from. Wishing you all nothing but the best.
Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander, former NAVI coach

New Candidate

For some time, there have been rumors circulating on the internet about changes in NAVI's Valorant roster, including the coaching position. Insider information suggests that the new head coach might be the legendary Counter-Strike player Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer. There are speculations that he is already involved in forming the new team roster and proposing candidates for players.

A New Era

After concluding one of the least successful seasons in Valorant for NAVI, the club has already parted with three players and two coaches and aims to create a more competitive roster for 2025, as evidenced by the numerous rumors surrounding it.
