The release of a new Valorant patch is just around the corner, and the second month of spring brings us Update 10.06. Today, Riot Games shared the full list of upcoming changes through their official social media accounts.
What’s Coming in the New Update
The patch primarily focuses on agent mechanics, with the biggest changes affecting KAY/O. According to the developers, players often struggle to master this agent and coordinate with teammates, so his gameplay is being slightly simplified.
Hey folks, Ash here! In Patch 10.06, we’re giving KAY/O a small but sweet buff — his flashes will now detonate sooner after bouncing. Also, the resurrection time has been halved, so you won’t have to yell at your teammate to cover you for so long during the revive... just half as much yelling now. We’ve also squashed a bunch of bugs. Console players who noticed missing progress after a match — don’t worry, that was just a visual bug; your progress is still being tracked!
Since the patch notes dropped on April 1st — April Fool’s Day — the devs couldn’t resist a joke, claiming that new teleporters would be added to the Bind map.
And lastly — we’re adding 4 extra teleporters to Bind, none of which are connected to each other. Enter one, and you’ll get dropped into one of five random locations. Let us know what you think! Until next time — have fun and don’t forget: one, two, three, flash!

AGENT UPDATES
KAY/O
Riot likes that KAY/O has a high skill ceiling, but they’ve noticed a persistent gap between new and experienced players. His flash remains one of the most difficult abilities to coordinate. These changes aim to make it more flexible at mid-range while preserving its potential for skilled play.
FLASH/DRIVE
- After bouncing, flash now has a 0.8s delay before detonation
- New visual and audio effects indicate this delay
- If less than 0.8s remains before detonation, no extra delay is added
- Max duration of underhand flash: 1.25s → 1.5s
- Voice line radius for flash callout: 20m → 50m
- Unequip time: 0.85s → 0.6s
- Minimap indicator added for allies
NULL/cmd
- Ally revive time: 3s → 1.5s

Vyse
Vyse found her place after buffs in Patch 9.11, but her ability durations were too long — especially Razorvines. The following tweaks aim to make her more action-dependent.

- Duration: 10s → 7s
Shear
- Wall duration after activation: 8s → 6s
