More and more professional players are leaving Valorant before the release of CS 2

It has been reported that two Valorant players from North America, the captain of the American club Sentinels - Rory "dephh" Jackson and Joshua "steel" Nissan, whose last team was Disguised, are leaving the discipline and returning to CS:GO.

Dephh's story

Rory Jackson is a former professional CS:GO player, having performed on the professional stage for over 7 years. During this time, he managed to be part of three clubs, the most famous of which is Complexity Gaming, in which dephh took 5-8 place at the FACEIT Major: London 2018. In 2020, he switched to the Valorant discipline, starting his journey from the little-known team Homeless. The most famous clubs of his Valorant career were XSET with which Rory won tournaments such as NSG: Winter Championship, VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers. Also, dephh successfully participated in the Valorant Champions 2022 World Championship, where he took 5-6 place. The second most famous and concurrently last team of Rory was Sentinels. With them, the player took 3rd place at the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational and 7th place at the VCT 2023: Americas League.

In his Twitter account, Rory announced that he is no longer part of Sentinels and took some of the blame for the team's poor performance in recent tournaments.

As you may know, I am no longer part of the Sentinels. We parted ways amicably, and I decided that it's better for me not to play in the split. The team didn't manage what we planned, and I take some responsibility for that.

A few days later, dephh announced that he is returning to his former discipline, more precisely its continuation CS 2, to the position of head coach at the North American eSports organization M80.

Steel's story

Joshua began his career in competitive shooters in 2010 with Counter-Strike: Source, and later in 2012 moved to CS:GO. For three years he played in different teams until in 2015, along with other participants of iBUYPOWER, received a ban from Valve, and a prohibition to participate in their tournaments. This happened because at the CEVO Season 5: Professional, iBUYPOWER, being the favorites, lost disastrously 4-16 against NetcodeGuides. After this, the team was suspected of betting against themselves, simply put 322, and were disqualified. Most of his Valorant career, steel spent in two teams - 100 Thieves and T1. With the former, Joshua won First Strike North America, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 1, and also took 3-4 place at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. In the T1 team, he performed on the tier-2 scene where the only victory was at the NSG: Summer Championship - Open 2.

Joshua himself has not yet commented on his return to CS:GO, but the well-known portal Dust2.us announced his transition to the new mix of the American organization Bad News Bears.
