Ludvig expresses dissatisfaction with the changes in the VCT 2025 league

Riot Games has announced significant changes to the international VCT 2025 league. The main changes include reducing the maximum number of teams from 14 to 12 and abolishing automatic rating demotion for teams that have risen through the Ascension tournament.

However, these news did not meet approval from Ludvig, owner of the Moist Esports team and a popular streamer with 5.89 million subscribers on YouTube. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the new decision, especially regarding the preferences given to league teams.

Initially, winners of the Ascension tournament were granted the right to participate in every season for two years, after which they had to qualify again. But starting from 2025, this period will be reduced to one year, with the possibility of contract extension based on performance.

At the same time, Ludvig highlighted the financial aspects and risks associated with participating in the league. He emphasized that league teams receive funding from various sources, making team management risk less significant.

The news has sparked a variety of reactions on social media. Some support Ludvig, believing it could decrease player motivation, while others see the changes as justified in the long term.
