The group stage of Valorant Champions 2024 is in full swing, and professional teams continue to showcase incredible spectacles. Yesterday, two winners' matches took place in the tournament, and we will tell you about their unexpected results below.

The first clash took place in Group C, and its result caused a stir among viewers. Leviatan faced Trace Esports in the match, with the Argentine team being the clear favorites. Despite Leviatan being considered one of the strongest teams in their region, and their opponents only being in the top 5, the Chinese team unexpectedly managed to defeat the favorites. After three maps – Bind 13-10, Sunset 9-13, Ascent 13-5 – Trace Esports earned a hard-fought victory and a spot in the playoff stage of the tournament.

 
 

In the second match, held in Group D, an equally tense clash awaited us between G2 and EDward Gaming. Both teams are quite strong, so the match promised to be interesting. And so it was, neither club planned to give up easily, and the encounter stretched to three maps. In the end – Icebox 8-13, Haven 13-11, Bind 13-11 – G2 secured a hard-fought victory and a playoff spot.

 
 

Valorant Champions 2024 is taking place from August 1 to 25, 2024, in Seoul. Sixteen partnered teams, four from each competitive region, will compete for a total prize pool of $2,250,000, as well as the title of world champion and the strongest team for the next year.
