Leviatán still hasn't received their trophy for winning VCT Americas 2024 Stage 2 due to customs issues

The team Leviatán, who became North American champions at the VCT Americas 2024 Stage 2 tournament in July, has yet to receive their winning trophy. This was reported by the team’s CEO, Fernando Díaz, during a special broadcast on the team’s official Twitch channel on September 13, the last day of the sale of team skins.

The Trophy Saga

According to Díaz, Riot Games informed them that the trophy would be sent to the team's Argentine office, but it got stuck in customs.

We were told that the trophy would be sent to Argentina, but it's still stuck in customs, and we can’t receive it.

Díaz also noted that the trophy is being kept in customs storage in Argentina, and it is currently unclear whether they will be able to retrieve it. There is a possibility that the Argentine government may return the trophy to Riot Games.

Issues with Trophies in Valorant Tournaments

This is not the first time there have been issues with trophies in Valorant tournaments. Previously, the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN trophy won by FNATIC was damaged during air transport, and the VCT Pacific 2024 Kick-off trophy won by Gen.G was criticized for its design. The current location and future fate of the Leviatán trophy remain uncertain.
