According to Leo Faria, the head of Valorant esports, the next year's championship is scheduled for October 2025. This schedule change is aimed at providing players with rest between seasons, as noted by community representatives.

These announcements come against the backdrop of the current VCT 2024 competitions, where teams are facing an intense schedule of games and issues such as burnout syndrome and visa problems. Teams also express concern about the preparation time, especially considering the lack of significant breaks between tournaments.

This year, VCT 2024 started in February, and the tournament continues without a break for over two weeks until VALORANT Champions 2024 in August, but for teams continuing to participate in international tournaments, there is almost no rest.
