Japanese organization DetonatioN FocusMe refuses from its own players and tests Korean professionals

Today, Danish esports journalist - Bo Hoogland reported interesting details concerning the Japanese Valorant team - DetonatioN FocusMe. According to the journalist, at the moment, the club's management plans to part with a portion of the Japanese players, replacing them with professionals from Korea.

Recall that having failed the current season, the team was one of the first participants to leave VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo in 17-32 place, and later took the 7th place at LCQ in the Asia-Pacific region, thereby closing their path to the world championship. After this, DFM's participation in the current VCT season came to an end, which means that the organization will be experimenting with the lineup in the offseason.

Current DetonatioN FocusMe lineup

Out of all the above-mentioned, only Seoldam and Suggest represent Korea, the rest of the players, like the organization, are originally from Japan. According to Bo Hoogland, currently, the club's management is interested in signing three former members of the Korean team Dplus - Park "allow" Sang-wook, Park "Estrella" Gun, and Kim "Lakia" Jong-min, who left the team last month. They also plan to test the latter for positions in the main lineup. According to the journalist, this is somewhat unfair to the Japanese players who initially received opportunities from the team, but later DFM changes its stance and turns its attention to Korean players.

We would like to note that these are just rumors and a possible scenario is that during the testing, the former Dplus players may not perform at their best. As a result, the team may decide against signing them. Keep following our portal to find out the future fate of the Japanese team.
