Riot Games, the developer of Valorant, took a significant step in the development of their platform today. Icons allowing PlayStation and Xbox users to log into their accounts directly from the application were noticed in the game launcher. Earlier, in November 2022, hints of a console version of Valorant were already found in the game files, but since then, the company has not taken any public steps towards consoles.
Interestingly, mentions of the upcoming release of the game on gaming consoles are increasing every month. Although Riot Games has not officially announced the release of Valorant on PlayStation and Xbox yet, adding authentication icons to the game launcher is a significant step in that direction.
