Following update 8.11, which brought enhancements to several agents as well as the new map Abyss, the Valorant community has largely embraced the new location. As a result, discussions are increasingly appearing online where players suggest adding the option to play only on the new map.
The map Abyss, since its introduction, has brought a variety of content to the community. Its distinctiveness lies in the numerous pitfalls on the map where players can crash. Because of this, players have discovered many bugs and interesting tricks that can be utilized. It is because of its uniqueness that players have come to love the map, creating discussions on various forums where they propose allowing the option to play only on Abyss.
It should be noted that in the past, players asked developers to add all available maps to the rotation, or to allow players to choose their own map pool. But after the arrival of Abyss, users are suggesting adding a separate option to search for matches only on the new map. As a possibility, they believe that a separate mode could be created, or a new item could be added to the match search menu specifically related to Abyss and the option to play on it.
So far, representatives from Riot Games have not responded to the community's requests and are likely not to respond. Creating a separate mode just for one map is quite costly, so the players' requests are likely to go unheard.
