German streamer GeTreXx sets a new world record, reaching level 1600 in Valorant

The German streamer, known as GeTreXx, has made history once again by reaching level 1600 in Valorant. Previously, he became the first player in the world to hit level 1000, and now he has surpassed his own achievement.

GeTreXx announced his new record on September 10th on the X platform (formerly Twitter), stating that this is a world record for account levels in the game. It’s worth recalling that GeTreXx first gained fame in December 2022 when he became the first in the world to reach level 1000.

How does the leveling system work in Valorant?

Account levels in Valorant increase with every 5000 Account Points (AP), which players earn based on the time spent in matches and their outcomes. Additional bonuses can be obtained for the first win of the day and completing daily and weekly challenges. Rapid level growth requires regular gameplay.

The road to level 1600

GeTreXx started playing Valorant when it was released in June 2020, reaching the highest rank – Radiant. According to the stats site Tracker.gg, he has played over 19,500 matches, with a total playtime exceeding 10,900 hours. For comparison, it took him 6,700 hours to reach level 1000 in 2022, meaning that over the past two years, he has added another 4,000 hours.

The streamer mentioned that at the time of reaching level 1000, he was balancing the game with work. However, by the time he hit level 1500 in March 2024, GeTreXx admitted that he "doesn’t have a social life" and no longer holds a steady job. He actively streams on Twitch and YouTube, and his fans eagerly await new records from the renowned player.
