Gentle Mates unveils updated roster for VCT 2025

The club's management introduced several new players, an updated coaching staff, and new leadership. Here's everything you need to know.

2024 team results and farewell to players

The extensive changes stem from the team's disappointing performance in the previous season. In 2024, the team struggled in most regional qualifiers: finishing 7th-8th in VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1 and 9th in Stage 2. As a result, they missed both Majors in 2024 and the World Championship, earning no prize money. Consequently, the organization decided to part ways with five core players and two coaches. For more details on this and other changes in the EMEA region, check out our in-depth coverage.

The team introduced a refreshed lineup. Notably, the only experienced Tier-1 player in the roster is Zyppan, formerly of NAVI. The rest of the lineup consists primarily of Tier-2 Challenger scene players, signaling a strategic focus on less experienced talent, with Zyppan likely serving as the key figure.

In addition to the players, the organization also introduced new members of the coaching and management teams. Alex "goked" Kie, renowned for his work with Leviatán, takes the role of head coach, with Eternity, a lesser-known figure, as his assistant. Additionally, Marceau “Placido” Lambert has been appointed as the head of the Valorant division for 2025.

The Gentle Mates roster is now fully assembled and ready for the new season. With no off-season events planned, the debut of the updated lineup will likely occur during VCT 2025.
